Celebration

I woke up real early to a bright sunny day,
Halfway still dreaming
but feeling like it's okay
It seems the stress from yesterday
just up and went away
The moment I've been waiting
for lies in sun rays

They shine through my window sill,
Like a lucky penny finally stumble across
a beat a feel
Reminding life,
and bringing out the hope inside
Beats and words,
that's bringing back the dope in rhymes
I wanna capture this feeling like a Kodak
frame it up inside my mind for
when i need to go back

to a time when everything was fine
everything was mine,
the dreams are still alive!
some times we just need to rewind
take heed of our lives
and feel what's devine

like today,
could it be its comin' back to me?
im not sweatin' it lettin' it happen naturally

this is, a celebration of life
so raise up your glasses high,
to the sunlight
for pleasure and pain,
stay growing and change
born again to pass on the gifts we obtain

there's so much to gain,
in this life time
love in hip hop,
the inspiration to write rhymes
the sun up in the sky,
lights the fright with bright shines
like signs that glisten
and glow in the night time

stuck in between lines,
sometimes don't realize
the most important of them
all is right in front of your eyes
they say the grass is always greener
on the other side
at least that's what we tend to think,
searching for that missing link

but with a blink of eye,
could be gone in a flash
sell you soul as music wind up
empty hearted for cash
use money to buy things always wanted
and never had
and after the fact,
the life you once had,
you want it back

that's the greed,
jedi mind tricks make us believe
what we see is dollar signs
but the necessary is free
so think twice before a mic check,
and take a deep breath in
because everyone is blessed

now i see that nothing's wrong,
it's been here all along
it's the music
