Bluebirds

Like a steel roof I am a dancer
choreographing a thousand raindrops

Like a thin snow I am enduring
in the most serious time of the year

Like a moonless wolf I am curious
What a bizarre way of walking

There are bluebirds here
There are bluebirds

Like a weapon I am ink and sword
and this beautiful Uzi

Like a chainsaw I am teeth
in a cavity of bluebird homes

Like a poet I am lying on the bedsheet
and about everything

There are bluebirds here
There are bluebirds

Like a river I am haunted
but who is vacant these days?

Like a thin snow I am enduring
in the most serious time of year

There are bluebirds here
There are bluebirds
