Wake Up Baby

Last night when I come home
I was tired as a man could be
There was a mule in my stable
Where my mule was suppose to be

I said wake up, baby
And explain all this stuff to me
Whose mule's there in my stable

She said; you must be silly

Why don't you open up your eyes and see
There ain't nothing but a milk cow that my grandmother sent to me

With a saddle on the back before.

Well, the next night when I come home
I was tired as a man could be
There was a coat on my hanger
Where my coat was suppose to be

I said; Wake up, little girl
And explain all this stuff to me
Who's coats there on my hanger
Where my coat is suppose to be

She said; you must be silly

There ain't nothing but a blanket that my mother in law sent to me

I've been all over the world
And the Golf from Mexico
I ain't never seen no blanket
With two sleeves on in before

Well no, the next night when I come home
I was tired and I wanted to sleep
There was a hat on my dresser
Where my hat was suppose to be

I said; Wake up, darling
And explain all these stuff to me
Who's hat's there on dresser
Where my hat is suppose to be

She said, you must be silly
But daddy you ain't talking right
Why don't you open up your eyes and see
There ain't nothing but a wash bag
That my grandmother sent to me

I ain't never seen no wash bag
With a hat band around it before.
