A few years ago, I had the privilege of working with Bishop T. D. Jakes
On an album called 'Sacred Love Songs', and
And this is his lil' song that he wrote
I mean, well, he didn't write it with me, he just kinda inspired me to write it
He- one day we were just talking about the record
And he was into scripture, he was into this scripture
"I'm crucified with Christ", and

When we first get saved, when we first come down to the altar
And we accept Christ
Right when we turn around and walk back to our seat
An invisible cross shows up behind us
And it follows us to our seat

You gotta see Christ's nails in your hand (yes!)
And Christ's nails in your feet
And when you wanted to go this way, you couldn't because
These nails kept holding you (turn it up!)

And when they got on your nerves, and you wanted to go curse them out
You couldn't, because these nails ke- (yeah-yeah, yeah-yeah)
And when everybody went out to the party and to the clubs
And they got together, and they slept around
You wanted to, but you couldn't, because (yes!) These-

Tell somebody, "There were some things I could have done
