Time heals
It's the only thing that remains constant
Yet the only thing that guarantees change
And nothing's been proven to stop it
'Cause nothing on ear stays the same
When grief calls my name
Though It's the only voice that truly pains me
It's the only voice I truly deep enjoy
For when I feel there's naught left to save me
It reminds me to smile when there's joy
Though it's only noise

Life
It's the only thing we truly aren't expecting
Yet the only thing we have to plan
Though we're a predetermined mass of chain reactions
It's the force of our will that withstands
Hear me if you can
For we will continue to rise
Despite the failing choices we've devised
For though we are next to knowing everything
We never cease to be surprise
Yet still we rise

Here I stand still searching for who I am
One thing I've learned
One thing I've discerned
In this great spinning urn
That when I'm badly burned...
