My Name is Blitzen

I grew up in the north
By the great frozen sea
In a land full of snowman and peppermint trees
It was hard for a reindeer in '72
Well the snow fell for days and it buried our food
And he found me up there on the brick of starvation
He said "i could come join his reindeer foundation"
So i got up slow and i followed him home
And the rest is a story
That's seldom been told
My name is blitzen
And i don't need no glory or fame
I just want wish you a merry christmas
From the back of the Santa Claus sleigh
Whein i walked into town
I did not know a soul
Then this reindeer walked up
With a nose all a glow
He said "Lend me your ear"
Then he spoke in reindeer
And the next thing you knew
We were flying, so high
My name is blitzen
And i dont need no glory or fame
I just want wish you a merry christmas
From the back of Santa Claus sleigh
Oh, then one christmas eve
Ol' Rudolph got sick
He was bit on the nose by an angry deer tick
As he laid in the shade
Of a peppermint tree
Well Santa said "It's your turn to lead"
It was my turn to lead
Then the elves gathered round
With a light that was red
And they tied that red light to the top of my head
I don't know if i'm ready
I don't know if i'm strong
But if christmas needs saving
Then we must be moving, must be moving
Must be moving on!
My name is blitzen
And i dont need no glory or fame
I just want wish you a merry christmas
And i'm leading the Santa Claus sleigh
(Merry christmas everbody, Merry christmas!)
Merry christmas
(ho ho ho ho)
Merry christmas!
(On dancer!)
(On dencer!)
(On blitzen!)
