Cascade Saddle

To go to my castle, leave at dusk find the river go upstream.
Once you're in the shadow of its walls time to blindfold your sore eyes.
as you climb on up to the lookout to your past, feel how vast the nothing is on this side of the cliff,
feel it in your fragile bones.
as you cling to the surface there, see your lovers, friends and dear ones down, radiating in the sun.
You keep yourself from looking down, as the flares come up and lick your feet,
you forget who you came up here to meet.
I'll meet you there, under the moon, basking in its glow, I'll forget I used to know.
Hidden up there above the sunlight, I will rest up there,
rest up there while years go by.

Entering the courtyard made of streams, of great lawns and ancient ice.
See the man who lives here, he's got no age, he's got the sky in his eyes.
As you come up close to salute him with both hands,
your life rushes in your bones and just faints in his eyes.
Now you realize he's yourself.
Now you finally found your peace, see your lovers, friends and dear one down radiating in the sun.
You just can't keep from looking down, as the stairs go down and warm your feet,
you forget who you came up here to meet.
I left you there, under the moon, basking in its glow, where I forgot I used to know.
Hidden up there above the sunlight, come on rest up there,
rest up there while years go by
