Bloom

Every once in a while, I'll return to my roots.
Crack open my heart, and let someone through.
It could end in a tragedy, but lately I'm thinking it won't,
Now that I see you.

I've been drowning in oceans, but swimming in your eyes.
Got me caught in a hurricane, forgetting those nights I spent pretending I'm genuine, but nothing seems real unless I'm genuinely yours.

And we sit on this bench, just killing the clock.
Wait for something to happen, but I fear that it won't.
But I see in the distance, those ships full of feelings.
The ones you said you had lost.

And I remember this place.
These walls and those stairs.
The first time that I saw you.
Fast forward three years, and I'm counting down days til once of us breaks, and finally lets out the truth...
