Blowin' in the Wind - Live
Needless to say, there's a great history to this festival of the, the Bob Dylan dilemma many years ago
And, uhm, I just gotta tell you a quick story that, uh
The reason I'ma play this song here is because about 20 years ago, somebody called me and said
"Hey, do you know that Bob Dylan did A Pirate Looks At 40 last night in Hawaii?"
And I went, "That's about as complementary as you can get," so, uh
I know that Bob caused a rockus playing here Electric about 45 or 50 years ago
So, I'ma return the favor and play acoustic, and uh, and do one of his
So uh, I just figured that's a full-circle thing to do, and I've been thinking about this for a long time
How many roads must a man walk down
Before you call him a man?
And how many seas must the white dove sail
Before she can sleep in the sand?
And how many times must the cannonballs fly
Before they're forever banned?
Oh, the answer my friends, is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind
Now how many years can a mountain exist
Before it is washed to the sea?
And how many years can some people exist
Before they're allowed to be free?
And how many times can a man turn his head
Pretending he just doesn't see?
Oh, the answer my friends is blowin' in the wind
Oh, the answer is blowin' in the wind
And how many times must a man look up
Before he can see the sky?
And how many times can a man turn his ear
Before he can hear people cry?
And how many deaths does he take 'til we learn
That too many people have died?
Oh, the answer my friends, still blowin' in the wind
Oh, the answer is blowin' in the wind
Oh, the answer my friends, still blowin' in the wind
Oh, the answer is blowin' in the wind
Thank you Bob, thank you Fred, thank you everybody
God bless!
Yeah
Thank you, have a great week, love ya!
