There are sober men and plenty,
And drunkards barely twenty;
There are men over ninety

But give me a rambling rover

We'll roam the country over
And together we'll face the world

I've been through all the nations, delight in all creations,
And enjoyed a wee sensation when the company did prove kind,
When parting was no pleasure, I've drunk another measure,
To the good friends that I'll treasure for they always are in me mind.
