City lights

City lights are winking now, pretending to be fair.
City lights are laughing while worry is in the air.
And the night is awful now.
And the night is where
empty souls are wanderin' now
bound for nowhere.
City lights are blindin' sparks, flashing like a blade.
City lights plague my eyes
and you know I'm in a daze.
And the fog is all around and my brain is still.
Someday I'll take my rags
and turn them into wings.
Sometimes fallin' on the floor
Sometimes I can't stay here anymore.
City lights disguised as stars
but they're lamps and nothing more.
City lights are talking with
my bad dreams made of boredom.
And I need to wake up now
and to blow away every shadow
every ghost lying on the way.
Sometimes fallin' on the floor...
Sometimes I can't stay here anymore.
City lights are fireflies, my head is swimming fast.
City lights are just lies, I'm deep inside a mess.
And the crow is on the branch, looking all around
and it's waiting for someone to fall to the ground.
Sometimes fallin' on the floor...
Sometimes I can't stay here anymore.
