Cotton Fields

These cotton fields they drive me wild, but so do you so I'll just smile while you do your thang and baby I do mine.

I caught you starring the other day I turned around and you looked away you trying to act busy when you were just wasting time.
I don't even know if I should show the way I feel and make us real things are kind of perfect; with me over here and you over there.

What's there to gain, you know my name these cotton fields hook up the same so why get closer? We'd probably just mess things up. How's that for fair? Do you even care?

Well I'll just sit and watch the sky.
And spend the hope on time close by
These cotton fields were made for dreams and so were we as the seeds.

They keep saying that you're messed up, well you just keep you head up they don't understand that you're a man but it's OK -- God's just making you tough.
Fly away and you'll be free, but take your time and wait for me -- the trials I know are hard.
But with time its gets better you'll see.

If I could wrap my heart around your smile and keep it safe just like a child. I would fight for you.
I'd even give my life to you.

Well I'll just sit and watch the sky.
And spend the hope on time close by
These cotton fields were made for dreams and so were we as the seeds.

These cotton fields they try to steal my strength that makes me feel like hope is real.

Why do these cotton fields they try to steal my strength that makes me feel like hope is real?

Why do these cotton fields they try to steal my strength that makes me feel like hope is real?

Why do these cotton fields they try to steal my strength that makes me feel like hope is real?

Well I'll just sit and watch the sky... thanks for you hope on time close by.

These cotton fields were made for dreams. And so were we as the seeds.
