So if my soul is excited, tell me why I am I still crying?
Why are the tears still streaming down my face
Why do I feel like such a disgrace
When I know you have forgiven me
This time I didn't do anything wrong
Yet it still seems like I've falling into the pit again
And nothing I do is helping me to win

And inside that voice says kill yourself
But I fight it off with a praise
In a daze
I say no I'm not committing suicide
Just preached yesterday, The Cure
I can't give up I'm sure
I know the cure is Jesus Christ and yes He is King of my life
But I don't see any answers, just have more questions

The cure I want to find, the remedy I need
Because inside I continue to bleed
Hurt, pain, disgust, disappointment, uncertainty, despair
That is what I am feeling now
But in a few seconds, that changes
And my emotions- they flip flop up and down, down and up
Are you getting this? Do you see the picture I'm painting?

But I know what I have to do
You see I have to encourage myself 'cause
Everyone else is going through their own problems
I realize that if I want to stop
Being depressed and rise up from the grave
I have to look to Jesus
He is the author and finisher of my faith

So Lord I am looking up to you and asking

What do you want me to do Lord?

How can my actions please you?
I really want to know
