Summer Song
Summer of 1993
Froggy and Sleison and Dougan and me
Nobody worked, there wasn't any school
So we just played ball and hung by the pool
Rode bikes to Salem and seemed far away
Pete rode from the hot and we said "No way!"
Somebody hit me, I must be dreamin' again
About when life was simple and I had friends
Home run Derby, I forgot the park
Hittin' home runs 'till after dark
One almost went through some man's glass
He wanted us to get out of there fast
He used fireworks to drive us away
When we came back to fight him the very next day
Somebody hit me, I must be dreamin' again
About when life was simple and I had friends
(ATL) Dougan was a livin' legend
(ATL) Come on, man, I deserved that point, I was robbed!
(ATL) Dougan was a livin' legend
(ATL) The rules? They were made by the mob
Chokin' that chicken, tremendous turkey
Chris P, the sin, was such a jerky
Hated Doug so much all year
Wouldn't even let poor little Frog come near at the
(Lunch table) He was ready!
(Willing and Able) To break that little
(Froggy in half) Then he'd sit back and
(Have himself a laugh)
Capture the flag was one of our last resorts
Doug got the idea watching Salute Your Shorts
Dick T, thought he was pretty cool
'Cause he went to a different school
Said he hung out with girls on Friday nights
While we were in Dougan's having wrestling fights
Video camera everywhere we go
Killer In The House, A Matador Came, yo
Filming at the mall, they thought I was a fool
Making second sequel to Adventures of Dool
Somebody hit me, I must be dreamin' again
About when life was simple and I had friends
Bulldog was chokin' window was broken
Odd case to be snorting coke in
Riley's house there was always somethin'
Lots of young girls and the bass pumpin'
(Sleison got dropped off)
Where's he gonna go?
Where's he gonna go?
(His ear got chopped off) Don't worry, it's gonna grow
Somebody hit me, I must be dreamin' again
About when life was simple and I had friends
Somebody hit me, I must be dreamin' again
About when life was simple and I had friends
