Our Days
What's the number of this day
please check, approve and file away
From now on everything will change
I don't know how but it will change
and if our days remain the same
that's just because they're made that way (they were made that way)
It's nearly right but it isn't quite
why don't we take a step aside
up the stairs we had to crawl
now we're up against the wall
that I wouldn't go for things like that
if I had to do it alone
Why don't we step out for a while (if we go we go in style)
it's just one step into the light
up the stairs
Now we've been through all this trouble
there's a chance our luck will double
so be sure you don't throw that away
Our days, we're only passing trough
we know of nothing else to do (what to do with days)
You wouldn't want to stay that way
until the very very last day
So it's up to us to cut the ties (it's up to us to break the ice)
to open up our sleepy eyes
There's no need for us to crawl
walk on ceilings, dance on wall
we'll no longer touch the floor
lose our grip and up we fall
And I'm not just whistling dixie
we could start all over next week
and our days will never be the same
What's the number of this day
please check, approve and file away
