Jackie Beanstalk
Well, there's not enough that I can say to you child
When your daddy's gone and you momma's far away
Cuddle up to me now, lemme read to you
A tale of the Jack and the Beanstalk will do
They didn't have much money so he sold
The cow for a bean and not the gold
They thought he was mad 'cause he said it was magic
Thought it was bad they said it was tragic
Jackie was glad he planted that bean where it can't be seen
Well, he woke up in the morning, what did he see?
Such an enormous beanstalk tall as a tree
Growing up to the clouds and then to disappear
Jackie just smiled and then he felt no fear
Up he climbed to see where it did go
What was up there he had to know
They thought he was mad 'cause he said it was magic
Thought it was bad they said it was tragic
Jackie was glad he planted that bean where it can't be seen
Well, he came upon a land so strange up in the sky
And he met a little old lady a-passing by
And she taught him all about the giant who lived there
So terrible and ugly with his matted hair
When he heard the sound of fee, fi, fo, fum
Off to the little oven he did run
Jackie was scared but he knew he had magic
Jackie had dared, he wasn't so tragic
Lady she cared he planted that bean where it can't be seen
Jackie was scared but he knew he had magic
Jackie had dared, he wasn't so tragic
Lady she cared he planted that bean where it can't be seen
Jackie could see the giant at his sup
Sniffin' an a-huffin' an a-drinkin' from his cup
Shoutin' at the dame to fetch his hen
The one that lays the golden eggs and then
As the giant slept our Jackie crept
Stole the hen and down the beanstalk leapt
Jackie can't stop the hen from crowin'
Wakin' up the giant from his snorin'
Jackie could hear the giant roar chasin' after him
Jackie saw the giant followin'
Jackie smiled at his bellowin'
Then our Jackie cuts the beanstalk down
Now the giant's dead, he saved the town
Far and wide are Jackie's tale they tell
The magic there's for you to find as well
They thought he was mad 'cause he said it was magic
Thought it was bad they said it was tragic
Jackie was glad he planted that bean where it can't be seen
Jackie was scared but he knew he had magic
Jackie had dared and he wasn't so tragic
Jackie was glad he planted that bean where it can't be seen
