It`s My Time

Sitting square in my rocking chair
The TV's on and I couldn't care
I think of friends that I can't forget
And all those people I haven't met

I can't believe I made it this long
It took me eighty years to know what I knew was wrong

All alone in my empty home
I wonder where the time has flown
Neighborhoods will come and go
A family's love they'll never show

Sons and daughters moving on with their lives
My other left me and I'll never know why

Drifting during the midday light
Putting my darkest thoughts in flight
Thinking clearly it may seem
But now I slip away and dream

Sitting square in my rocking chair
The TV's on and I couldn't care
I've lived my life but it won't last
And now it's time for me to pass

It's my time
