Sleepy Nothing Kind of Day
Today or tomorrow, it means nothing to me
Didn't wake up this morning til a quarter past three
Stayed in my bed and watched the TV
Just a sleepy nothing kind of day
Looked out of my window – there was nothing to see
I wandered around and I made cups of tea
Nothing exciting happened to me
Just a sleepy nothing kind of day
You can tell me I'm lazy, like as if I don't know
Tell me I'm stupid and boring
But turn the light out after you when you go
And don't wake me up in the morning
And I won't go to work, and I really don't care
It's so very dull it just makes me despair
Tell me why should I waste such a lovely day there?
Just a sleepy nothing kind of day
They'll probably sack me, but I really won't mind
I could look for another job any old time
But I never was much of the hard-working kind
Just a sleepy nothing kind of day
So tell me I'm lazy, like as if I don't know
Tell me I'm stupid and boring
But turn the light out after you when you go
And don't call for me in the morning
And what if they sack me, I really won't mind
I could look for another job any old time
But if every day was like this- I think I'd be fine
Just a sleepy, just a sleepy
Just a sleepy nothing kind of day
Didn't wake up this morning til a quarter past three
Stayed in my bed and watched the TV
