Mandolin Moon (Live & Acoustic)

This is a song from "Absolutely" called "Mandolin Moon"

Everything changes in the face of the moon
Now times here and you're in for bloom
When you move me
My lunar girl

My feet, two feet from the ground
Tasting colors and I'm seeing sounds
When you take me out of this world

Whoa, yeah, you know that I
Count my blessings and I hug my luck
Like an old brass penny with two heads up
It's alright if you're late
I just hope that you find your way soon, yeah, yeah

Shine down, light it up, wash it over
Waitin' 'round for my mandolin moon
Come around 'til the sweet, sweet morning
Come along, I'll be waiting for you
Baby, waiting, waiting for you

You pull the tides right up around me
So much that it could drown me
And you surround me
My lunar girl

Don't tell me, I don't wanna hear
Wake me up before you disappear
Won't you take me out of this world

Whoa, yeah, you know that I
Count my blessings and I hug my luck
Like an old brass penny with two heads up
It's alright if you're late
I just hope that you find your way soon, yeah, yeah

Well shine down, light it up, wash it over
Waitin' 'round for my mandolin moon
Come around 'til the sweet, sweet morning
Come along, I'll be waiting for you

I'm waiting
Still waiting
If only you could stay a while
I'm waiting
Still waiting
If only you could stay a while
I'm waiting
Still waiting
If only you could stay a while

Shine down, light it up, wash it over
Waitin' 'round for my mandolin moon
Come around 'til the sweet, sweet morning
Come along, I'll be waiting for you

Shine down, light it up, wash it over
Waitin' 'round for my mandolin moon
Come around 'til the sweet, sweet morning
Come along I'll be waiting for you

Shine down, shine down
Waitin' 'round for my mandolin moon
Shine down, shine down, yeah yeah
Shine down, shine down

Thanks, thanks you guys
Oh man, so this is um, this was the very first song
On um, on a record that we put out called "Somewhere More Familiar"
I still remember it, I actually, I literally saw a crooked chimney standing in the middle of a field
And it, and it occurred to me that that was the center of people's life at one point
There was a house there and kids and love and everything that life is all about
And it was all gone except for that one symbol
And it started this idea, and it turned into this song called "Just Remember"
