Sunflowers

Me and Lucy would go out to the yard
To plant the seeds we got from Ma and Pa
We put those suckers right into the ground
A few weeks later, you might guess what we found

And they were so yellow
They were so yellow

Now I'm older and Lucy's gone away
I still remember what she used to say
"Don't worry Juany, we'll plant some more someday

And they'll be so yellow
They'll be so yellow"

In my mind
I see the sky
And all the grass is green
Just like it's always been

Please tell my mind
About the times
And maybe I'll begin
To see it all again

Why should I mind?
When I can hear your voice today
