In his childhood memories
a belt and bruises
he thought he could forget
the times he had abused him
promises made to himself
that he would never hit
anybody else
all that he wanted was
love from he who brought them up but
he just could not understand
he brought his friends home just to
make sure he was not alone cuz
dad was a violent man
every night he goes to sleep
but he's not lonely
he's got a wife and kids
and a promise that he can't keep
past memories he can't forget
the dad he had become
was a dad that made his children sad
all that they wanted was
love from he who brought them up but
he just could not understand
they brought their friends home just to
make sure he was not alone cuz
dad was a violent man
beaten up he beats his son
when something turn out wrong
he screams so hard he blows a lung
past memories he can't forget
the promise he had made
it just turned out to be a lie
that's not what you deserve...
