That's the Trick

Hopeless, and bothered (?)
My life, why bother
It cuts me deep and quick
And that's the trick

Ended up in a moon-driven override
So familiar I don't even wanna move
Wrote my will on the back of a shopping list
Bowl full of gold but I couldn't lift the spoon

It's not right
Well, alright

So send me up in a fool-driven rocket ride
Bounced off the moon, splashed down in the bay
Writing my novel with a stick in the sand
Waiting for a wave come wash it all away

Now I've learnt my lesson
This body makes a pretty nice prison
I feel it deep and quick
Now that's the trick
