Ceiling Stars

Candle wax stalagtites on the window sill
She meant to clean them up but they hang there still
And all the pictures to be removed from frames
But everything in this room looks the same

She lays in bed just likes she's done for days
She watches all the stars upon the ceiling as they slowly to start to fade

It's just like tail lights as they're pulling away

Static playing on the radio station
She's got a head full of useless information
Everything she did was for the best
She got a coffee stain on her cotton dress

She lays in bed just likes she's done for days
She watches all the stars upon the ceiling as they slowly to start to fade

She says she wanted to be left alone - got what she wanted and it backfired on her
