Feel the Same
Well I got a new letter in the mail today.
After 27 miles I had nothing to say
It said, "I love you little brother, but I don't know why.
You let your hair get long and your soul grow tired."
And so I took another walk into the grocery mall
And I took a couple photos of the bathroom stall.
It seems that every one is lookin for the next good time
It made me feel a little funny so I closed my eyes.
I started wishin for a chemical to make me feel
a little more intimate, a little less real.
I settled for the cigarette I bought from the girl outside.
She said I talked a little funny but I didn't mind.
Oh, am I never gunna feel the same?
Oh, am I ever gunna feel the same?
Well I find it sort of silly how you push and pull.
Scratchin like a kitty till your paws are dull
He says his brother like boys, but he ties his shoes
with the right side first baby just like you.
And so you put all your makeup on the cash machine
And I dressed up like a lady on the
I started hollering a curse from the room upstairs
See you thought that I was buyin
But the truth was I was scared.
Oh, am I ever gunna feel the same?
Oh, am I ever gunna feel the same way?
