More

There was a woman who could not have children
Though in her heart she desired and longed
To be fruitful and happy, not lonely and barren
But this was the burden she bore
We know her as Sarah, as Rachel, Rebecca, as Hannah
She's known as the wife of Monah,
Elizabeth, maybe, and she wants a baby,
One would be fine but she'd love to have more.

The Lord from heaven looked down
And noticed her beautiful face looking down,
Remembered her root that would grow in dry ground
He loved her and promised
The hope of her heart would be found

This lady reminds him of all he has promised in earlier times
When no fruit could be found.
It seemed useless to go on believing in something
You never could touch with your hand

His truth remained hidden awaiting the moment
The times of fulfillment would finally come
And the promise would shine and the lady would find
Through her troubles she brought forth a son

The lord from heaven looked down
And noticed her beautiful face looking down
Remembered her root that would grow in dry ground
He loved her and promised
The hope of her heart would be found

All these years, passing her by, clouds in the sky
Not knowing why, wondering how, but look at her now
Look at her now

Now there's a woman who has many children
And in her heart she desires and loves
To be fruitful and faithful
Her future is hopeful
And always shed love to have more
