Santa, Send Me A Mommie

Santa Send Me A Mommy

There's an old two story house
On a hill just south of town
With a rusty fence surrounding it
Little children playing round
Today as I was driving past
A little girl sat all alone
So I stopped and walked up to the fence
And asked her if there's something wrong

And she said
I'm just writing a letter to Santa Claus
There's just one gift that I'm asking for this year
I want Santa Claus to bring me a mommie of my own
Someone who's always there to dry my tears
Cause I was left here at this orphans home
One dark cold Christmas Eve
And every year I write to him
To bring a mommy just for me

I touched my cheek and felt the tears
That were streaming down my face
I wanted more than anything
To take her from this place
I said dear God if you can hear me
I pray you'll hear this plea
Send a mommy here to hold this child
And give her love this Christmas Eve

And once again I heard her say
I'm just writing a letter to Santa Claus
There's just one gift that I'm asking for this year
I want Santa Claus to bring me a mommy of my own
Someone who's always there to dry my tears
Cause I was left here at this orphans home
One dark cold Christmas Eve
And every year I write to him
To bring a mommy just for me

And then I got a pen and paper
And wrote a note to Santa Claus
Would you bring a dad and mommy
To adopt her in their home
There's just so many children
In this world that's all alone
Santa, every little boy and girl
Should have a loving home
