Before Your Birthday Ends

If you fall then you fell out of your mother's womb and splattered all across the floor.
Then the doctor swings you by your umbilical cord and smashes you against the door.
When you know that you're sure you can feel yourself crying like you've never cried before.
When you reached for the light that you rode into, did you realize there was something more.

Better go get your friends, before your birthday ends.

If that blood in your veins don't suit you well then drain yourself and clean em with bleach.
When clouds outnumber the stars in the sky and the ocean has swallowed the beach.

Then you go find your friends.

You can always be sure they're in the sun ready to make you whole again.

If you fall then you've fell and I'll pick you up and make sure that you smile.
When you're mad at me it won't last long, you're gonna laugh in a little while.
