The Road

Open your mind
Open your hand
Don't leave a riva try to understand too soon---not sure
Pick the flowers as they bloom
Take advice but leave some room
Your own way out

I'm fishing for a brand new style
And I know that I'll be gone for a while
But thats just fine 'cause I got loads of time
Yeah I've got nothing but time
To take a slow ride down the U.S. coastline
You never know what'chya gonna find
When you ride on the wake of a shooting star
Trade everything you want for a steel guitar

And I'll tell you who you are, you are
And It don't matter where you go
On the road
I get a feelin'
That I could just roll by
And never even try
But man ain't it nice to watch the Americans fight
Out on the road

And every morning outside of Joe's café
There's a line stretched out several blocks away
Today I'm somewhere in the middle wondering what to say
With this girl next to me with a baby on the way
And I know I know I've been here before
In the same small town, the same exact store
Watchin' CNN cover the latest war
While a fine waitress mops up the checkered floor

And maybe I'll find a dance with that southern gal
Who's got eyes as wide as a corousel
And she says "C'mon baby I know you know the moves"
"I dont mama, but what I got to lose?"

On the road
I get a feelin'
That I could just roll by
And never even try
But man ain't it nice to watch the Americans fight
Out on the road

I did the one for Wilshire Drive as well, whatever is posted there was copy and pasted from the original site i made them on and may have been edited I will check it over again.
