Phantom Limbs

I thought I saw you out in the street tonight.
And with three years past I'd thought it would be alright.
But my heart went up into my throat. I felt like I had seen a ghost.
It's been a long day and I need a drink.
Need to get away from everything.
So lets raise our glasses and toast, trying and never coming close.

You would say I don't make sense and I must be gone out of my head.
