Rain Dance

Let's go! Wooo! I hear the sound, of an abundance of rain. Hey! Somethin's gettin ready to happen... in your house. I think I feel somethin fallin right now.

We believe the promises,
Spoken by the prophet Joel,
The former and the latter rain,
Would come and flood our thirsty souls.

We been prayin for the rain,
Prayin for the rain to fall,
Fall upon our cities Lord,
Come and overtake us all.
You don't wanna miss your chance,
Everybody rain dance.

We're callin down the rain, rain down from heaven,
We need some Holy Ghost rain, rain down from heaven,
Yes, Lord we need the rain, rain down from heaven,
We'll never make it without rain.
You don't wanna miss your chance,
Everybody rain dance.

Here we go!

We've been lookin to the sky,
Seen a cloud just like a hand,
Heard it with our spirit ears,... c'mon!
Abundant rain's gonna trench the land.

So we're gonna nudge the heart... the heart of God,
Who holds the waters in a heap,
And meet it with some crazy praise,
Wakes the waters from their sleep.
You don't wanna miss your chance,
Everybody rain dance.

Lord we're callin rain, rain down from heaven
We need your rain, rain down from heaven
We'll never make it without rain, rain down from heaven
Oh God we need your Holy rain.
You don't want to miss your chance,
Everybody rain dance. (repeat)

Now in the Native American culture and tradition there were lots of dances that were reserved for men only, except one... The Rain Dance! And this was a dance that the natives and the native maidens could join in together and dance. And it was said that the rain dance did two things. Number one... it drove away evil spirits. How many need for something to go in your house? Somebody shout go! Somebody shout go! Somebody declare go! Number two... it brought the rain. I don't know where you are, but we need some rain to fall on our nations. But you see I remember reading about Joel"s prophecy. He said in the last days, I'm gonna pour my Spirit out on your sons and your daughters. He said I'm gonna send the former and the latter rain together. I remember where David danced before the Lord with all of his might. And sometimes to get your breakthrough... you just gotta dance. I need somebody to help me dance. I need somebody to help. Let's go! Let's go! C'mon! Everybody move!
