The Menu

Walk down the street
We'll find a little place where we can both go to food
Where we don't have to speak cause there are pictures on the menu

A little further down
We'll find a set of arches out by the university
And everyone will wanna talk about the economy
American prime-time TV

Right behind our school
There's women on the sidewalk selling pantyhose and shoes
People shooting pool with little handmade wooden cues

If we've got the time
I know a little place up town that sells moonshine as cheap as hell
And we could go get drunk in the stairway of our hotel
Cause down in the street they can hear us yell
Just you and me and the ghost we do it by ourselves

Cause out on the wire
There's kids making a living stealing money from the crowd
And all along the sidewalks and surfaces downtown

We'll hope everyday
There's a hundred million people living on the same old plot of land
Well I could take a look around but I could never understand
Cause down in the street they can hear us swell

So make your way through traffic to find our hotel home
Tell all your friends that you need some time alone
