The Light That Came out of the Dark

The guiding light that's on my mind
The one that shines on my inner self
It helps me leave all dark behind
To feel like heaven day by day
It took a long, long stony journey
To raise my horizon
But now I'm glad as a man can be
I've chosen the right path in the end

Suddenly, one day the light
Appeared when no one expected it
It came along, it shined so bright
When I lay wounded on the ground
Today I'm not the same I've been
For all the years
The light that came out of the dark
The reason why I stayed alive

I always try to spend much time
As long as it's possible, with you
It's pure energy to see you
Even if there's just nothing to do
I keep tapes from my answer phone
Just to hear your voice again
You're such a mighty source of strength
Your inspiration leads my pen

As time goes by I get aware
I can't get off that magic light
And if it needs me, I'll be there
Surrounded of what comes from the heart
