Where the Whitetails Go

I should've known this train won't take me home.
These tracks are only boney trails of old.
I should've cared, but we just stopped and stared, watching the tragedy unfold.
She said, "Take me where the whitetails go. I can see it in their eyes; they know something we don't.
Mountains so high, and canyons deep, Where white snow lies in 6 foot sheets."

And it could bury me up to my head; bury me up to myhead, I swear.
Trusting in broken bread, investing in words we said when we don't really know just where to go.

So I stare, as we deem these jungles bare with no second thoughts as to what is fair.
And I weep, as we take what we don't need. Human nature walking on two feet.

And it could bury me up to my head; bury me up to my head, I swear.
Trusting in broken bread, investing in words we said when we don't really know just where to go.

We don't wanna see it, we don't wanna believe... With all this evil. And we turn the other cheek.
