Hasret Khamosh Hai
hasratein khaamosh hain, aur aah be-taasir hai
taqdeer hai roothhi hui, bekaar har tadbeer hai
All the yearnings in my life are silent, they have faded away. My sighs of sorrow are in-effective and without influence. My destiny is unhappy with me, displeased and unfulfilled, and any deliberations and efforts on my part are rendered futile.

ghar huaa barbaad mera dil jigar tukde huye

All my earthly possessions are destroyed, my heart is broken, and even my existence is shattered into pieces. Yet my breath comes and I am not dead, tell me what greater misfortune there can be.
