Marching to Pretoria
Row, row, row your boat, gently down the stream
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily, life is but a dream
Sing with me, I'll sing with you (row, row, row your boat)
And so we will sing together (gently down the stream)
So we will sing together (merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily)
So we will sing together (life is but a dream)
Sing with me, I'll sing with you (row, row, row your boat)
And so we will sing together (gently down the stream)
As we march along (merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily life is but a dream)
We are marching to Pretoria, Pretoria, Pretoria
We are marching to Pretoria, Pretoria, hooray!
I'm gonna talk about marching to Pretoria
As the Pretoria is the administrative capital of South Africa
And that's a pretty poor start for a song right there
It was named after ol' Andries Pretorius
Who was a prominent Boer of his time
His son was of even bigger Boer, got to be the first Prime Minister
There's been a lot of marching going on down there
We found that the song, that of course, it's wonderful to sing
About as easy as row, row, row your boat
If you like to join with us, to see what we can do
We are marching to Pretoria, Pretoria, Pretoria
We are marching to Pretoria, Pretoria, hooray!
Walk with me, I'll walk with you
And so we will walk together
So we will walk together, so we will walk together
Walk with me, I'll walk with you
And so we will walk together
As we march along
We are marching to Pretoria, Pretoria, Pretoria
We are marching to Pretoria, Pretoria, hooray!
Dance with me, I'll dance with you (dance with me, and I'll dance with you)
And so we will dance together (and then go dance, we dance)
So we will dance together, so we will dance together (we go dancing all along)
Dance with me, I'll dance with you (dance with me, and I'll dance with you)
And so we will dance together (and we'll go dance, we dance all along)
As we march along
We are marching to Pretoria, Pretoria, Pretoria
We are marching to Pretoria, Pretoria, hooray!
Drink with me, I'll drink with you (drink with me, I'll drink with you)
And so we will drink together
So we will drink together, so we will drink together (and we will drink as we go along)
Drink with me, I'll drink with you (if you drink with me, I'll drink with you)
(And we will get soldering to Pretoria) as we march along
We are marching to Pretoria, Pretoria, Pretoria
We are marching to Pretoria, Pretoria, hooray! (One, four)
We are marching to Pretoria, Pretoria, Pretoria
We are marching to Pretoria, Pretoria, hooray!
We got some drink and water back there
If you all get thirsty, they taste like water anyway
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily, life is but a dream
Sing with me, I'll sing with you (row, row, row your boat)
And so we will sing together (gently down the stream)
So we will sing together (merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily)
So we will sing together (life is but a dream)
