In A Tower Of Lies

I hide in a castle of lies, Of passion I feed in the dark
Where walls of unworthyness rise, Cover the moon and my heart
The towers are made of the stone, These fears of my own, Hold deep in my bones
My heart holds together the hopes, Of who still believes in this farce

So leave your questions at the door
The lord's never going to answer
The pain you seek I feel no more
I long to be resting alone
Leave your message at the tone
The dragon's asleep in the great hall
Rise the bridge and burn the throne
The king isn't going to return

Cold is the tiled floor, The fire refuses to burn
How can it's honest part, Be long forgot, And lost by god
Still we all judge and laugh, When evil is all we can do

Alone in the dungeons I thrive, On tortures I bring to myself
Too low and depraved to be wise, I'm cut by my own foul intent
The screams and despair that you hear, I hold my most dear, They're friends to my ears
I wallow and bathe in the tears, I cause to the ones that I love

Let your goodness out before
The serpents may poison it's nature
My human heart can beat no more
I'm carving my name in it's stone
Fear the ones that seem most close
Trust never your will in this venture
For traitor's gate shall never close
