Ghost Town

Edge of the world, the end of a map
When you get out life will bring you back to that ghost town

A farming valley on state route three
Not much to live on here but only dreams in that ghost town

I wanted out so I did what I could
Sometimes choices are misunderstood
I loaded everything I owned in that truck
Hit the county line as the sun come up
On that ghost town

Not much to do here on a Saturday night
Drink a few beers or get drunk and fight in that ghost town

Always thought there was so much to see
Something better was waiting for me beyond that ghost town

I wanted out so I did what I could
Sometimes choices are misunderstood
I loaded everything I owned in that truck
Hit the county line as the sun come up
On that ghost town

Twenty years now have came and went
Can't believe all the time I spent
In that ghost town
