Ward Hill

It's the ambition of all visitors who are
Young in years or otherwise
To climb the hill alone is merely difficult
Demands no skill involves no danger
Sides are steep but others steeper
Hands as well as feet are used to reach the top
For by the scope of ground the heather there is high
And long enough and strong enough to climb by

It's only when the weathers clear as well as
Fine the climb is good
Hazy air cuts off the greater part of view
In weather showing fog decent it might be fraught
Darkness it can come without much warning
Make sure of starting down in the right direction
Because if you start you will arrive home safely

Papa westray
There you'll find me
Another lonely isle

Papa westray
There you'll find me
Another lonely isle
