Overtures

Its sad but acceptable you're a recepticale
I've emptied you out now its time to refill you
Pretending you're nice is a useful device
When you are dealing with people who may want to kill you
As workplaces go its inhabitable
The suggestion of fresh air the sense of a window
Most of the time I just look at the ground
And my family portrait I keep it face down
To say I am the one is off and numerical
People in cubicals should not be sheperical

You man the telly sales
I'll bite my fingernails
You take my temperature
I'll check your curvature
You start the revolution, burn the furniture
I'll make the overtures I'll make the overtures

With moon and sun graceful we rose from the table
And danced like a drunkard on a mechanical bull
All that could see it was her leading me
Footless and free she was willingly able
Being an asshole is just one of the symptoms
People in glass houses should not throw tantrums

You man the telly sales
I'll bite my fingernails
You take my temperature
I'll check your curvature
You start the revolution, burn the furniture
I'll make the overtures I'll make the overtures
I'll make the overtures I'll make the overtures

Even if there is no witness
And there is no sound
It's a nasty business
Lets run it into the ground
