I Need a Nap

I need a nap,
I'm feeling blue.
I'm cranky like a crocodile, I'm terribly rude.

I need a nap,
I'm feeling red.
I'm throwing tantrums and I need to go to bed.

I need a nap,
I'm feeling gray.
It's just so difficult sometimes
to get through the day.

I need a nap,
I'm growing brown.
We'll all be happier if I can go lie down.

So get my blankie, turn out the light.
I'll see you as I dream some lovely dreams.
I'll take a nap, and after that
the world's always a nicer place, it seems.
I need a nap.

So get my blankie and tuck me in,
maybe you can take one, too, or have some tea.
I'm not myself, at least not mostly.
Take me to bed, please, and later come and get me
'cause I need a nap.

I neep a nap (Forty winks and I'll see you in a while)
I neep a nap (I'm going to count sheep, gonna do it in style)
I neep a nap (I need some shut-eye, and I don't mean maybe)
I neep a nap (You'll see things differently -
I'll be a different baby, baby!)
