Song for Morrie

How long will this go on,
he is fadin
death awaitin
old man sittin in his chair
Morrie can't walk
but he still talks to me.
Ten ground soldiers in their white caps
they make rest come fast
but it never lasts.
With six months left he is teaching us,
just because your dying, never give up trying
to love
And maybe all we need
is someone to come home to.
I watch him slip away
body shrinking, but his minds still thinking,
with all the knowledge of the future clear,
he'll stick it out tonight, but how long will he fight?
And maybe all we need is someone to come home to.
And we all can't help stand around, and we hope that time will just take him down,
so that this man can just go on with his mind set clear and regrets all gone.
