His Spirit Is Here

What is impossible with men, it is possible with God
I stand in aure, as I look back at where we come from as a nation
Today we celebrate God's goodness and his marvelous grace
We also celebrate the human spirit
That triumphed against all injustices of the past

The 1960's saw some men, and women of integrity sent to jail
But their voices echoed across the land
They were not silenced, no no no
The 1970's to the 1980's, the african child stood up and said
'I cannot take it no more, I am also made in the image of God'

The women and men of God went down on their knees
And called upon him who did to Moses
"I have solely seen the affliction of my people, which are in Egypt
And I have heard their cry, I know their sorrows
And I have come to deliver them"

God raised up religious leaders
Who erected tents across the african continent
Saying 'Africa, back to God'

I can hear the voices of Evangelist Nicolas Bhengu, broken
I can hear Reverend Duma, Bishop Desmond Tutu, Reverend Shikhana
I can hear Bishop Pakston, and many more

I am reminded of the Prophet Joel saying
'It shall come to past afterwards
Then I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh
Your sons and daughters shall prophesy"

Oh I can feel it, his spirit is here
