Several Hundred Apologies

It's like, I feel sorry for everyone out there
It's not so good
So, everyone, I love everyone
I love one—I just love one person
I just love one person
I just love the one

Here, like a giant blanket of sound for you to enjoy
We're here making things, just trying to sound like a blanket
Just the other day, I was punched and beaten in the streets, and it was very violent
It was very crazy, and I think it was something I never want to hear again
Your favorite kind of sandwich, made out of cotton and nicotine
And my grandmother was an old lady, by myself

What's the worst dream you've ever had?
That I went next door in this alternate reality version of my neighborhood
And the house next door I knew was a witch's house, but I went there anyways
And I went up to the door, and, like an idiot, and the witch came out
And it was like, she stole my family, and there is
I knew everything was going to go wrong
And I was falling down this awful waterfall, and then it was like the Looney Tunes "That's All, Folks"
But instead of happy "That's All, Folks" it was like the witch
That was the end for me

And then, during recess, I would want the other kids to feel bad, so I would tell them I couldn't read, but I really could, and then I would go to the principal's office
What did you do at recess?
Second grade, we did a lot of card trading
And I lost my Japanese holographic, which was my favorite and most prized possession, but I don't know to-
No sports? You didn't play on the soccer field?
Um, yeah, we had a dirt field and we would always play soccer, and then one kid would always scoop up the ball and run with it
Yeah, and then we'd get really mad, and it was funny, but I was mad at the time

Slides and the swing set sets
We played tetherball
We played a lot of wallball and basketball
Wallball was fun
I remember this day at recess, and there was a storm
And I just wanted my mother to pick me up
And it was getting worse
And it was getting dark, and I was outside, there was a playground
And I just wanted to go home, and it was starting to rain, and there was lightning, and I
What?
I... What happened?
