4th march, that's the day that I marched forth,
Marched forth to be the father of my firstborn,
My son you inspire me to write songs, Write songs, not only songs but also poems,
I remember when I first held you in my arms,
It was a feeling I've never ever felt before,
I can tell you it was joy, that's for sure,
So much joy in my heart, I rejoiced,
I made a prayer in my heart, I thanked the Lord,
I asked the Lord to protect you from any danger,
From any bad thing by putting you in a manger,
To protect you from these lying soothsayers,
Help you to live a good life, life of prayer, As the tears came rolling down on my eyes,
I can only praise and thank God for your life,
I promise to love you forever till the end of time,
You my son, you're my joy and you're my pride, and I love you.
Son you are in this world for a greater purpose,
And I believe you gonna fulfill it by the Lord's grace,
Cause everyone in this life runs their own race,
So don't rush, take it slow and set your own pace,
You gonna make it in life and be successful,
Just ensure you don't go through life being stressful,
Do everything you need to, don't be fearful,
Just be happy and joyous, be cheerful Know that your daddy always truly loves you,
And everything that I do, I do it for you, Though I grew up with no love from my own father,
Coz he never really cared or even bothered,
He was scared to raise me up as a single parent.
I'm gonna love you like I should, coz I'm real father,
Rectify all the mistakes that my father did, Make sure you get everything that you need,
And If life and its challenges hits you hard, Just remember you got your dad and your mom,
I can tell you that she loves you more than anything,
And when I say anything I mean anything, Cause she always carries you, in her heart,
That's the reserved place for you, I tell you with no doubt,
I know for sure that she loves you with her whole heart,
And she's very happy mom and very proud,
To have a son like you Lerato, its a blessing,
