Our Story
Yo
Growing up in the Virgin Islands you know it's real Reggee driven real Calypso driven
But believe it or not you know me and my brother we grew up listening to Hip-Hop music
Like our parents was like who cares like they love Hip-Hop music
And you know we aint really wanted to rap or nothing until the Fugees came out
Thats when it all changed
See that was the first time we wanted to get on stage
I was nervous my brother wasn't afraid, we both was at a very young age
Mum and Dad worked hard for their five dollars an hour minimum wage
They treated our folks like they were slaves
But they did whatever they had to to keep food on our plates
So we made a promise to somehow someway we was gone make it up out of this ghetto one day
Maybe coz we were locals
Probably while promoters felt like we didnt deserved to get paid
We were loved by some, hated by many
Years passed growing up
