Keep us steadfast from the core like they did on their first day
The flesh is fluid, no it won't stand still

Will you trust the water or the stone?

You're in the river and you're in the storm
You're mother nature drawn in human form
Different flowers from a single seed
But tell me what's a rainbow without a bit of green
Will you ride the surf or the storm?
Will they cheer or hang their heads and mourn?

And I would like to hope that what you choose will help us both
But you gotta prune your leaves
If you ever want the sweet fruit to grow
