Me and my girl went down to the fields to see what we could see
one thousand degrees it was in my mind... It was sunny and bright (and bright)
We couldn't find any shade for several miles around us
I cried out for rain or just for a nice tall glass of iced lemonade (lemonade)

As multicolored lights exploded in the blue sky I cried (I cried)
