Simple Times

We drove a mini van
All across this land
Playin' music in the streets
Just for fun

Finally out of school
We were howlin' at the moon
And laughin' like life had
Only just begun

Simple times
Simple pleasures
There wasn't a hurry
And there wasn't a pressure

Sometimes you find
You got nothin' but time
And time is the sweetest of treasures

She's only three
But sometimes she feels older
I'm drinkin' coffee as she tells me about her dreams

And I suddenly realize of all the good things in life
That's about as good as anything will be

Simple times
Simple pleasures
There wasn't a hurry
And there wasn't a pressure

Sometimes you find
You got nothin' but time
And time is the sweetest of treasures

So here's to the good times
And sweet memories
And to the moments
We've yet to see

For its not the time we spend
But who we get to spend it with
And I count myself lucky
To count you as my friends

Though distances come
May we never forget
The lives that we've shared

Simple times
Simple pleasures
There wasn't a worry
And there wasn't a pressure

Sometimes you find
You got nothin' but time
And time is the sweetest of treasures
