Jesus' Early Years*

It was here in this quiet countryside
That the strength of character and patience, endurance was built
Later, He would be branded by skeptics as a false prophet, by the wicked as a fool
And by the Scribes and Pharisees, the keepers of the law, as a radical
As a revolutionist, as a man to be feared
For His words represented change

He knew His purpose in this world
And He knew that scripture, He knew the word
Time and again
He was to bring out the true meaning of the words of the prophets
As the word said
"He gained in statue and then Favor with God and man"
