If I Can Dream

I know there are lights burning brither somewhere.
I know there are birds flying higher in the sky more blue.
If a man can dream of a better land where all his brothers walk hand in hand.
Lord, tell me why, oh why, oh why can't their dream come true?

I know there is peace and understanding sometime.
Strong winds of promise that will blow away the doubt and fear.
If the man can dream of a warmer sun where hope keeps shining on everyone,
tell me why, oh Lord please tell me why, why won't that sun appear?

Man is lost in a cloud and there is too much rain.
Man is trapped in a world that's troubled with pain
But as long as a man has the strength enough to dream, he can redeem his soul, he can redeem his soul and fly.

Deep in my heart, Father, I have this trembling question.
Still I am sure that the answer gonna come somehow.
Because out there in the dark, there's always a beckoning candle.
